Two equal masses M hang from a rope on opposite sides of a pulley attached to the ceiling. The left-hand mass is moving up at constant velocity v and the right-hand mass is moving down at the same speed. What is the tension in the rope? The rope is massless and the pulley is massless and frictionless.
