A laminate [60/45/0/45] is prepared using AS/3501 graphite-epoxy lamina. The material properties for the AS/3501 graphite epoxy lamina are: E- 140 GPa E2 23-10 GPa V12=V13 = 0.3 V23 0.3 G12= G13 = 7 GPa Xy = 400MPa Xc--300MPa Yr 400 MPa ??-:-300 MPa S=70MPa

a) Assuming each lamina thickness is 1 mm, calculate A, BI and DI for the laminate.
b) A beam AB of 100 mm length and 20 mm width is fabricated using the above AS/3501 graphite- epoxy [60/45/0/45] laminate. The beam AB is subjected to only a pure bending moment M. Using the maximum stress theory; predict the maximum allowable value of the M. (20 points) c) For the beam AB, predict the maximum allowable value of M using Tsai-Wu Hill. (Assume that Xe mìn (IIXyll. Il ell) and Y= min (11 1,11 Yell))
