An oil with density 950 kg/m3 and kinematic viscosity 2·10-5 m2 /s flows through a horizontal pipe of 30-cm-diameter. Between locations 1 and 2 (which are 100 m apart), a pressure head drop of 8 m is measured. The relative roughness of the pipe is e/D = 0.0002. Find the average velocity [m/s] and the flow rate [m3 /s] in the pipe.
