Lake Ray was once home to thousands of walleye fish. But soil runoff from a nearby golf course in the 1980s made the water almost uninhabitable for the fish, and reduced their numbers to almost zero. This image is courtesy of Fond du Lac County, WI In recent years the golf course has been relocated, and efforts have been made to clean up the effects of runoff to return Lake Ray to its original conditions. This was done so that the walleye's numbers might increase. This sort of effort is known as A. habitat restoration B. reforestation C. repopulation D. spear fishing
