The drinking bird was invented in the 1940s by American chemist Miles Sullivan (patented in 1945). Once the "bird" starts drinking, it keeps swinging and "drinking" for ever. There is complex physical and chemical activity going on inside the toy, which keeps the simple heat engine running forever without a battery.  Explain the operating principle behind the Drinking Bird?
