In Appendix C, see the elastic curve equation for a simply supported beam with a concentrated moment at one end. Assume a concentrated moment equal to MB from part 1 of this solution acts at B. For this calculation, the overhung part of the beam from A to B and the overhung part from D to E can be ignored. The effect of the distributed load from A to B is included by use of the moment MB. The beam is treated as a simply supported beam of length 2L2. Be careful with units and the sign convention. Determine the component of the beam deflection at point C due to the moment produced at point B by the portion of the distributed load between point A and point B.
