How are energy and the amplitude of a wave related?

The higher the amplitude, the more energy the wave carries.

A wave with less energy will have a shorter wavelength.

The longer the wavelength, the greater the energy carried by a wave.

An increase in energy will result in a wave with lower amplitude.
