Formulating a Hypothesis: Part II
Now you will focus on a second hypothesis. This
hypothesis can be very similar to the first, but this time
you want to focus only on the second variable in
question, speed. What could be a hypothesis that would
illustrate the relationship between speed and kinetic
energy? Use the format of "if.. then... because..." when
writing your hypothesis.
If we have a ball rolling its speed could determine the amount of
kinetic energy in it while in movement

Unpolarized light whose intensity is 1.19 w/ is incident on a polarizer. (a) what is the intensity of the light leaving the polarizer? (b) if the analyzer is set at an angle of = 41.0∘ with respect to the polarizer, what is the intensity of the light that reaches the photocell?

You can watch static electricity in action by rubbing an inflated balloon against your hair. your hair will actually stand on its end! it does this because each hair becomes charged, and they all repel one another.

No matter what energy transformation we discuss, we know that no energy transfer is 100% efficient. you are about to enter a bicycle rave. you have trained extensively and eaten well to maximize your energy input throughout the bicycle race. you know that some of your kinetic energy will become wasted energy in the form of heat. what is the source of the heat energy and how can you minimize it to maximize the efficiency of your performance in the race? a) you are the source of the heat energy. you can minimize the heat energy but selecting the appropriate clothes to wear. b) air resistance is the source of he heat energy. you can minimize the air resistance by your position while riding the bicycle. c) friction is the source of the heat energy. you can minimize the friction by lubricating all appropriate parts and keeping the tires well inflated. d) kinetic energy is the source of the heat energy. you can reduce the production of heat energy but minimizing the energy you expend to race on the bicycle.
