Solids exhibits a regular arrangement of it's molecules which differs from the scattered nature of gaseous particles and slightly ordered nature of liquid molecules. Solids exhibits a defined volume , and shape with molecules held together by string attractive forces. Solids can change into liquid through melting or transform directly into gaseous state through sublimation.
