El lazamiento parabolico se puede analizar con las ecuaciones de cinematica. Estas ecuaciones deben estudiarse en las componentes x & y.

Donde:

v =  velocidad final [m/s]

Vo = velocidad inicial [m/s]

g = acelercion de la gravedad [m/s²]

t = tiempo [s]

Es importante hacer la claridad que el signo de la aceleracion gravitacional puede ser positivo o negativo, y se aplica solo al movimiento en el eje y. Es positivo cuando el cuerpo se mueve hacia abajo ya que el movimiento va en sentido de la aceleracion gravitacional. Y signo negativo cuando el cuerpo se mueve hacia arriba ya que el cuerpo se mueve en sentido opuesto a la aceleracion de la gravedad.

Es decir en el eje x, se utiliza un movimiento con velocidad constante y en el eje y un movimiento con aceleracion constante. Esta cominacion de movimientos en los ejes x & y permite el movimiento parabolico.
