A scientist goes into a lab, and finds that another scientist left an unknown sample under the microscope. She looks through the microscope, and sees something that she doesn't recognize. She wants to figure out if she is looking at the cells of a unicellular organism or the cells of part of a multicellular organism. Which question could be investigated to provide evidence that the cells under the microscope are each individual unicellular organisms?
