A package of mass m is release from rest at a warehouse loading dock and slides down a 3.0 m high frictionless chute to a waiting truck. Unfortunately, the truck
driver went on a break without having removed the previous package, of mass
2m, from the bottom of the chute. The two packages stick together upon their
collision.

a. Draw a sequence of energy pie diagrams representing these events.
b. Suppose the packages stick together after their collision. What is their
common speed after the collision?
c. Find how far will the packages slide after reaching the end of the ramp
(continue sliding horizontally) if the coefficient of friction is k = 0.5 starting
at the bottom of the ramp.
