Fluorescence occurs when a high energy photon pumps a molecule up to an excited energy level. The molecule then decays to a level partway down by emitting another photon. Suppose we pump up a molecule with the three energy levels indicated from level E0 to level E2 using a 395 nm photon. The intermediate level, E1, has an energy 0.7 eV about the ground state, E0. What is the wavelength of the fluorescent photon emitted when the molecule decays from level E2 to level E0
