Mr. Bob runs a carnival at the local town square. As part of the even, he launches some carnival workers from a cannon into a net. The nets are in a different position for each worker, because each worker has a different MASS. Mr. Bob positions the nets himself, but one day he has to stay home sick! Unfortunately, he didn't leave any directions for the other carnival workers to know where to position the net for each worker. The force applied by the cannon is constant each time it is shot. You are in charge of figuring out which net position goes with which carnival worker--match each carnival worker with the correct net position. a) Joe (78 kg) 150 m
b) Sam (63 kg) 123 m
c) Tina (51 kg) 178 m

Large electric fields in cell membranes cause ions to move through the cell wall. the field strength in a typical membrane is 1.0 x 10 7 n/c. what is the magnitude of the force on a calcium ion with charge +e? what is its acceleration? is it possible for a particle with the same charge as as calcium to have a different acceleration if placed at this location? what would change the acceleration: mass of the particle? diameter of the particle?
