Solution :

Let, the depth of the shoal fish is d.

Now, it is given that it takes 2.0 s to receive the echo.

Also, distance covered by echo is 2d.

Now, 2d = s × t

2d =  1250 m/s × 2 s

d = 1250 m

Therefore, the depth of the shoal of fish is 1250 m.
