Two people are pulling a sled with the help of a bar. The front of sled is connected to the bar with the help of two ropes at the two ends of the bar. The ropes attach to a single point on the sled. The angle between the two ropes is phi, whereas the angle ropes make with the plane of the surface is theta. A heavy sled is being pulled by two people, as shown in the figure. The coefficient of static friction between the sled and the ground is s=0.571 , and the kinetic friction coefficient is k=0.443 . The combined mass of the sled and its load is =291 kg . The ropes are separated by an angle =28.0° , and they make an angle =29.7° with the horizontal. Assuming both ropes pull equally hard, what is the minimum rope tension required to get the sled moving? If this rope tension is maintained after the sled starts moving, what is the sled's acceleration?

Glass is transparent to visibile light under normal conditions; however, at extremely high intensities, glass will absorb most of the light incident upon it. this works through a process known as multiphoton absorption. in this process, several photons are absorbed at the same time. if very intense light whose photons carry 2ev of energy is shined onto a material with a band gap of 4ev, that light can be absorbed through two-photon absorption, because two photons have the right amount of energy to bridge the band gap. what is the minimum number of photons of 800-nm light that are needed to equal or exceed the band gap of fused silica glass
