Your patient has disclosed that they smoke tobacco and they have indicated that they believe that the information about lung disease and smoking is fabricated and that it must be exaggerated. You are now tasked with showing them through a diagram and a verbal demonstration the true scientific facts around smoking and lung disease. Make sure to discuss the symptoms, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment in your demonstration. You will use either a diagram of the respiratory system that you’ve found online or one that you’ve drawn by hand to support your teaching. You will develop a script and teach the material to either an imaginary person or someone else and videotape your lesson.
