What is the diffrence between a solar system and a galaxy

Our Solar System consists of our star, the Sun, and its orbiting planets (including Earth), along with numerous moons, asteroids, comet material, rocks, and dust. Our Sun is just one star among the hundreds of billions of stars in our Milky Way Galaxy. The universe is all of the galaxies – billions of them!

Our Solar system has a our sun and many other planets that you are familar with such as mars, jupiter, venus.  A galaxy is broad term meaning it any gravitionaly bound system with stars, planets, dust, dark matter, etc.

Explanation:

Pretty much a solar sytem consits of "our" planets like jupiter, mars, earth, etc. A Galxy is just a part of space that is not spefic to us.
