Procedure 3 Newton's Third Law conceptually speaking. For the forces you've learned about there must be 2 bodies. According to Newton, forces come in pairs.
But what about things that are not fixed in place. Picture a woman standing on a dock, beside a
boat. She pushes the boat away from the dock. What forces keep her in place on the dock when the boat
pushes back. The boat will start to accelerate away from the dock. Why isn't it pushing back now? How has
it failed Newton? There's no data here, and the analysis is conceptual, In your conclusion, write an
explanation of this that shows us you understand Newton's third law of motion.
