2D Motion - Comparing the path of projectiles on Earth and Mars Imagine you are repeating the "Land the Rover" experiment on Mars. How would the experiment differ than the one done on Earth? You'd have to include a discussion of the how HLPs behave on Earth (more "gravity" and lots of air friction) vs Mars (less "gravity" and hardly any air friction). Include, at least, a set of graph stacks to help in the comparison.

Forces/2D Motion - HLP and the ISS
Revisit the physics of the ISS...how did it get into near-Earth orbit? Why are astronauts "weightless"? How is the ISS really like a HLP? How did Isaac Newton usher in the concept of launching satellites with his "Newton's Cannon" thought experiment? Address the physics of the ISS through the lens of 2D Motion and Forces.

Click the game tab at the bottom of the simulation and select level 1. (there is no seesaw balance for this part of the activity.) balance the first equation, and click check to see if you got it right. if you can’t balance it in the first try, you can try again. work through the five equations for level 1. click continue to go on to level 2, and later level 3. each level is more difficult than the one before. keep trying until all the equations are balanced. in one or two sentences, describe how you did in the balancing game. in a few more sentences, explain one strategy you learned for balancing more complex equations.
