Directions: Use the equation above to solve for the missing variable. 1.) A truck is traveling at +80 m/sec and accelerates at a constant rate of -6 m/sec2in an attempt to travel under the speed limit of 55 m/sec before he passes the police officer ahead. He passes the police officer after 4 seconds. Will the car be traveling under the 55 m/sec speed limit when he passes the police officer?

2.)A race car has the ability to constantly accelerate at +15 m/sec. At the end of a car race, the race car accelerates at its maximum acceleration for 3 seconds before crossing the finish line with a velocity of 60 m/sec. What was the initial velocity of the race car before it accelerated at its maximum rate at the end of the race?

3) A biker is biking with a velocity of +10 m/sec. After 5 seconds, he is now biking with a velocity of +25 m/sec. What was the biker’s constant acceleration during these 5 seconds?
