Explain why scientists might use models to represent earth's processes

Earth is a 3-dimensional body, in three-dimensional space system. Many real phenomena's here are difficult to understand/teach through assumptions, or with the help of charts. In order to understand our space system more better, scientists use model's to represent earth's various processes
