Two thin 80.0- cm rods are oriented at right angles to each other. each rod has one end at the origin of the coordinates, and one of them extends along the x- axis while the other extends along the yaxis. the rod along the x- axis carries a charge of - 15.0 μ c distributed uniformly along its length, and the other rod carries 15.0 μ c uniformly over its length. find the magnitude and direction of the net electrical force that these two rods exert on an electron located at the point (40.0 cm, 40.0 cm). First, launch the video below. you will be asked to use your knowledge of physics to predict the outcome of an experiment. then, close the video window and answer the question at right. you can watch the video again at any point. part a as in the video, we apply a charge +q to the half-shell that carries the electroscope. this time, we also apply a charge –q to the other half-shell. when we bring the two halves together, we observe that the electroscope discharges, just as in the video. what does the electroscope needle do when you separate the two half-shells again? view available hint(s) as in the video, we apply a charge + to the half-shell that carries the electroscope. this time, we also apply a charge – to the other half-shell. when we bring the two halves together, we observe that the electroscope discharges, just as in the video. what does the electroscope needle do when you separate the two half-shells again? it deflects more than it did at the end of the video. it deflects the same amount as at end of the video. it does not deflect at all. it deflects less than it did at the end of the video. submit

Does anyone know how to solve this problem? i really need . i made an attempt but i just cant get it. a metal rod is 25.000 cm long at 25.0 degrees celsius. when heated to 102.0 degrees celsius, it is 25.054 cm long. what is the coefficient of linear expansion for this metal.
