Define and describe a mixture using examples.

A mixture is a substance formed by two or more substances "mixed" together.

There is two types of mixtures:

Homogeneus: meaning a mixture that is the same through out and evenly mixed. A homogeneous mixture can be a mixture of salt and water (fully diluted).

heterogeneous: meaning a mixture made up of more than one phase or of different parts and can be separated physically, for example a glass of juice with some ice on it.

as a general rule, scissors have blades less than 6 in (15 cm) long and usually have handles with finger holes of the same size. shears have blades scissors used to cut hair or fabric must be much sharper.
