Explanation: Water is polar molecule , term polar means it has positive and negative sides. Polarity of water is because of its bent shape. H2O has 10 protons and 10 electrons. In water unequal sharing of electrons takes place because oxygen attracts electrons more strongly in compare to the two hydrogen atoms. Because of this unequal sharing of electrons water has slightly positive charge at hydrogen atoms and slightly negative charge at oxygen atom.
