( me it is 10 pts ) * turning on a space heater. * dropping an apple core into the garbage. * climbing up a rope ladder. * starting a car. *turning on a flashlight. think about each action as a before and after. for instance ,before the space heater is turned on, what kind of energy is there? after the heater is turned on , what happen? this change from before to after will you identify the two of energy involved?

Turning on a space heater:
Electrical energy is converted to thermal energy. The heater uses the electricity from its socket to heat up the coils within it and release the energy as thermal energy.

Dropping an apple core into the garbage:
Potential energy is converted to kinetic energy. The apple core has to be above the garbage, which means it has potential energy. This converts to kinetic energy as the apple core gains velocity and falls

Climbing up a rope ladder:
Chemical energy to potential energy. The chemical energy obtained by the breakdown of food is converted to potential energy as height is gained by climbing the ladder.

Turning on a car:
Chemical energy to mechanical energy. The fuel in the car is ignited and causes the piston in the engine of the car to move.

Turning on a flashlight:
Chemical energy to light energy. The chemical energy is stored within the batteries of the flashlight.
