A book is lifted 3 meters in 3 seconds. The same book is lifted 3 meters yet again but in 1 second. Student Johnny says that the amount of energy required to move the book in both examples is the same because the distance does not change and the mass of the book does not change. Student Sally disagrees and states that in the second example the book is lifted faster and therefore requires more energy. Who do you agree with and why?
