An electromagnetic spectrum refers to a range of frequency and wavelength that an electromagnetic wave is distributed or extends. The electromagnetic spectrum comprises of gamma rays, visible light, ultraviolet radiation, x-rays, radio waves, and infrared radiation.

Wavelength can be defined as the distance from one peak to the next peak. Also, this distance is equal to the distance from one trough of a wave to another.

Mathematically, the speed of a wave is given by the formula;

Where;

V is the speed of the wave.

f is the frequency of the wave.

λ is the wavelength of the wave.

The speed of a wave (wave speed) is directly proportional to the frequency of a wave.
