A hypothetical Laplacian machine could predict the future by calculating the trajectories of all the particles in the universe. This idea has been used to argue against the possibility of human free will. But if we had such a machine, we could ask it to predict how a human answers a certain question and, after hearing the prediction, the human could freely choose to answer in such a way as to make the prediction wrong.
