Jenny takes her dog, a huge St. Bernard, for a walk on a wet, rainy day. She is wearing tennis shoes with rubber soles. The sidewalk is made of concrete. Let the static coefficient of friction between rubber and wet concrete be 0.80. Jenny finds that she cannot stop her dog from going where he wants. She can stop moving her feet, but he will drag her along so hard that her shoes simply slide along the top of the sidewalk. When the dog pulls with a force of 399 N, Jenny is dragged along behind him at a constant speed.
