Given
distance betweentwo sources d = 5.00 meters
wavelength of thesource λ = 6.00 meters

a) Letx be the distance between constructive inerference andsource
condition for constructive interference is
path difference = mλ
√ ( x2 + 25 ) - x = mλ
here m = 1,2,3
solve forx

b) Let ybe the distance between destructive interferenceand source
condition for destructive interferenceis
path difference = (m+ 1/2)λ
√ ( y2 + 25 ) - y= (m+ 1/2)λ
here m =0, 1,2,3
