We know that gravity affects the path light takes, so that near the Sun (or even near Earth) there is a very small curvature to its path. Suppose a hypothetical space ship is falling toward the Sun under the influence of Sun's gravity. What would you expect that someone inside that windowless spaceship would measure with very precise apparatus if they tried to detect Sun's gravity from its effect on light traveling inside their cabin
