A block of aluminum has dimensions 1m x 1m x .2m. The aluminum has a density of 2700kg/m^3. The block is submerged in a pool of water. How much force is required to lift it off the bottom of the pool (but still remain submerged)? Ive been struggling on this problem for awhile, to save you scrap work volume = .2m^3, mass= 540kg, and buoyancy force = 5292N. Not sure if any of that will help though.
