A good thesis statement does two things for your writing: (1) it gives readers an idea of your main points in your research paper; and (2) it also makes your readers want to read more. Therefore, it is important to spend time drafting a solid thesis statement. Based on your research, create a thesis statement that answers your essential questions (EQ): Is there evidence of climate change in your community or state? How does this compare to evidence of global climate change?

Your thesis statement should be no more than three sentences.
