The tundra is the Earth's coldest and harshest biomes. It is characterized by molded landscapes, extremely low temperatures, little precipitation, poor nutrients, and short growing seasons. The plants in the tundra are similar to the arctic ones. They include tussock grasses, dwarf trees, small-leafed shrubs, and heaths. Ocotillo is not one of them. In contrast, this plant (type of cactus) can be found in the deserts.
