You're not alone actually... I've felt the same way as you. Many ppl I know and hardly know have come across and tell me I'm so sweet and kind and everything... that makes me feel good. And the only reason why I'm kind to others is because that's the only thing that makes me happy... knowing I'm making others feel good. I don't know if that person's going through a hard time, what if he is? what if she is?.. Words can have a great effect in someone. (If telling someone they look nice today makes them feel good then try doing that everyday!) And like you mentioned, life CAN be hard, it's never easy to go through stuff alone, you always need a friend, family memeber, relative, bf/gf to be there for you, to support you. It makes things a little bit easier for you to handle.
