What was the greatest weakness of the articles of confederation?

I believe the answer is: Its failure to provide for a strong central government

The articles of confederation provide the states with various opportunities to override the regulation made by the central government.
This make it very easy for the states to rebel and threaten to make a new country if the central government do not fultill their demand.
