The atmospheric gas called water vapor forms clouds when it condenses.

When the invisible water vapor in the air condenses into ice crystals, clouds will form. Water is present around us all the time as tiny gas particles, which is also knows as water vapor. The air gets cooler as water vapor goes higher in the sky.
