Perspective taking is a cognitive skill that is defined as the capacity to understand someone else's feelings, emotions, thoughts or intentions. Because Frank posses this cognitive skill, he is able to understand that his little brother is afraid of what he is watching, and therefore he acts upon it, trying to help his brother, so that he does not suffer.
