How can stereotypes misrepresent native americans or other groups of people?

Stereotypes had changed the way many people see others. When the English settlers first arrived in the Americas, they assumed that all Native Americans were uncivilized savages. This has led to many things, including war. As for how the misrepresent them, stereotypes can not define one person or a group of people just on what they see, what they hear, or what they believe. Stereotypes can lead to many things, most of them bad.
