According to Erickson, the stage of intimacy versus isolation "reflects the desire to share one's life with someone else".

Intimacy versus isolation is the 6th stage of Erik Erikson's theory of psychosocial development. This stage happens amid youthful adulthood between the periods of around 18 to 40 yrs.  

During this period, the significant clash focuses on framing personal, adoring associations with other individuals.  

During this period, we start to share ourselves all the more personally with others. We investigate connections driving toward longer-term responsibilities with somebody other than a relative.
