Dual-process (theory) predicts improvement in reasoning from childhood to adulthood, and this improvement was observed (developmental reversals too). Dual-process of decision-making relies on the existence of several brain systems interacting with each other (standard paradigms of choice, propose choices, and testable predictions).

Decision making (thought process) is when you try to make a good decision, you must weight the positives and negatives of each option, and consider all the alternatives.
