What is the main difference between the laws of a state and the rule of law? state law is the body of laws for a state, but the rule of law is a principle. laws are for the people of the state, but the rule of law is for officials. government makes state laws, but the rule of law is from the past. laws are from the state’s past, but the government makes the rule of law.
