Johari window is a technique that assist individuals to understand the relationship they have with themselves and the relationships they have with others.

It uses four quadrants namely open,blind,hidden and unknown.

Different adjectives are given to you and your peers to be placed in either of the four quadrants .

In an open quadrant you and your peers locate the same traits that they believe you have and you also believe you have those traits.

In a blind quadrant your peers put traits that they perceive from you but that you may not be aware that you have using the descriptive adjectives .

In a hidden quadrant you put those adjectives which describes traits that your peers don't know , only you know you possess such traits or you claim that you possess those traits.

In an unknown, all the adjectives that were not picked or placed in any of the quadrants are said to be unknown and are placed in an unknown quadrant .
