The motivation theory was given by Maslow. He was humanistic. He has given a hierarchy related to the motivation needs. There are five basic needs but one cannot reach another level till the first need does not satisfied.  

There are five needs are :

Physiological needs: These are the basic needs and the first need in the Maslow hierarchy. Without completing the first needs a person can not meet the next level. There are the basic needs that are crucial to a person's survival are water, air, food, and sleep. Maslow believes that these needs are very instinctive because all needs come after meeting first needs.
