In psychology conservation is the ability that people have that helps us discern that a certain volume remains constant even if the same volume is placed in a larger container. This concept was proposed by Jean Piaget.

Here, I am unable to discern that even when the packaging is bigger the volume of the substance inside the package remains the same.

Hence, I was unable to apply my ability of conservation.
