Jane is trying to remember the order in which stars are classed by heat for her astronomy class. if instead of just trying to remember the sequence of letters (obafgkm), she comes up with the mnemonic of "oh be a fine guy, kiss me", the model of memory suggests that she should remember it better.

Explanation: Level of processing method is the process which deals with longer information stay in memory due to deeper processing of that information. The tracing of such deep information occurs in a certain structure and helps to remember it better.

Jane should also use level of processing approach for remembering the sequences rather than learning it in mnemonics so that the sequence in the form of information can get deeply absorbed into the memory and can stay for long time .

The level of processing model was proposed by Craik and Lockhart. This model was focusing on the deep level of processing in memory and it has been predicted that information is being processed deeply and can be traced for a long duration in long term memory. It is not structured as a multi-model structured. The memory is just about the processing of the information deeply and clarification about the distinction between short term memory and long term memory.
