What axum influence trade in the mediterranean sea and the indian ocean?

Under the king Axum, trade flourished and as the commercial network which he was involved in with Indian and Mediterranean Sea.

He exported ivory, tortoise shells, gold and emeralds for import of silk and spices. He had a strong navy which was given strong profit through trade by trading with Africans and Asians.
