Major safety concerns should an FCA welder be cautious:

FCA welding is the type of welding that is either automatic or semi-automatic and the machine requires a continuous electrode feed. This type of welding produces heat, sparks, fumes, ultraviolet lights and therefore the person in charge should wear protective clothing to prevent burns.  

The type of protective equipment required is eye goggles specifically endorsed for this kind of welding and protective gloves. Also, caution must be exercised to prevent fumes-related injuries such as serious inhalation. This can be done by providing a respirator or forced ventilation.
