Council is the same as council and it is a religious meeting. Technically the Council of Trent was the 13th council of the Catholic Church and was called the Ecumenical Council. It took place between the years 1546 to 1563. Convoked by Pope Paul III, in 1546, he met in the Italian Tirol, in the city of Trento. He was also guided by other Popes, Julius III, Paul IV, Pius V, Gregory XIII and Sixtus V, lasting 18 years and completing his work only in 1563.
